The curse is over now, right? No more ducks? Cause everyone was saying how cute everyone was or whatever, but you have to be careful around them, they're not so even-tempered. It was almost like Hollow Bastion again.

I don't know about this whole decree thing. A lot of people are either drunk or refusing to do it, I don't really care too much. I might wind up doing something, but I dunno.

Reno got a heart on his doorstep too. His wasn't wrapped up like mine, but I bet you don't think it's so funny anymore, huh? What's going on with that, though? You didn't say anything that could be misinterpreted, did you, Reno?

[OoC: If I forget, all responses are voice. And Kiddo-kun or Riou or anyone on the police force that wants to question him, please, PLEASE be my guest. :3 The more the merrier.]

Well, family can be a bit hard in this place, but friends are easily enough to make. If you talk enough to enough people you can just fall into friendship.

And Halloween in particular seems to be about dressing up in costumes and asking random strangers for candy and other... somewhat weird and random events.

Well, the thing is that they consider me a friend, but I don't really know if I consider them mine. What with the whole lacking a heart thing.

Yeah, sounds weird.

Well, if they think that you're a friend and you want them to be a friend, then they would be a friend, wouldn't they? Heart or no heart?

. . . . that pretty much sums it up. It has its fun spots too, though.

[identity profile] sitaronthewater.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I guess, but that's the thing. I don't really know what it'd feel like to consider someone a friend, or even to want a friend.

Maybe I'll see the next time it comes around, then.

Ah... that's kind of hard to put into words. And it probably varies from person to person too. I suppose you don't remember it?

[identity profile] sitaronthewater.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 06:25 am (UTC)(link)
Well, to be honest, I've always kinda thought that we do have our hearts. Not quite like before, and- well, I'm still looking for them, but I think we have them. But, no, I don't really know what would could as making them my friend. I guess I'll understand more as I stay here longer.

[identity profile] bright-shield.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 06:29 am (UTC)(link)
There's certainly that to look forward to during your stay. And... you don't really seem as emotionless as some other people I know.

[identity profile] bright-shield.livejournal.com 2009-01-12 06:36 am (UTC)(link)
Oh... just some friends of mine. I'm sure they're just reserved.

Oh. Yeah. Well, that's different.
