It opens up with how most people know Demyx, when he walks the street, hood up. Except it's a little different than normal. Instead of just the usual black coat, it appears to be shining rather unnaturally. "I don't think I can get it to stop. It still shines through." He flips it down, revealing that it's shining directly from his skin, which looks a little paler?

"Also, there's a couple of people that used to be here that are back. I don't think that they remember anything, though." A pause, and you can see that he is thinking hard, before "Uh, Superior. Are you gonna be in the apartment in an hour?"

It wasn't anything too big, or maybe it was, he really wasn't sure, but he knew that he didn't know his way around filters. So instead of risking it, and messing something up, again, he decided to make a meeting in person.

Although, no, not meeting. That would involve lots of lecturing and, based on meetings past, probably directed at him. But for now, he was just waiting in the common area.

A full meeting was also the slightest bit pointless just at the moment. They would have needed at least one more of their number to make it truly worthwhile. But he could manage less... formal get togethers.

So an hour or so later, he comes wandering into the common area, looking much as he always is.

"You wished to see me?"

Just as always, he was so formal. He was used to it by now, of course, but it still unnerved him-if that was the word.

"Yeah." Not the most eloquent, but it was the answer. He almost wanted to sound more formal, himself, because the reason why was somewhat important. And he wanted to look good in front of the Superior. Show him that he could be trusted with more things, although he didn't always want to do everything. But he wanted the trust for the things that he wanted to do. Unfortunately for Demyx, his formality would always leave a lot to be desired.

"Uh, well, the kid's back." A pause. "You know. Sora. Should I- follow him again? Like I did last time, I mean."

There was a moment of silence as Xemnas considered the situation. Sora was a threat, yes, but provided he could manage to instill the proper sentiments in Roxas then he was... less of a threat than he had been.

"As matters currently stand, I am more concerned about Riku."

Riku, who had once wandered the dark in search of the prize he held so dear.

Riku? But he beat Lexaeus.

Wait, no. That didn't sound right. And anyway, Sora was the one that killed him. Maybe Riku wouldn't even suspect him or anything. This could work! Except one question lingered on his mind.

"Riku? Why?"

Why? Because he had been better able to sneak into their stronghold. Sora had broken in on force alone. A foolish, childish effort. It would be easy to track his attempts.

"Because he is the greater unknown."

"Oh. So should I talk to him or just-" Not talk to him? "Just uh, report on him."

"He is more perceptive than Sora. Do not let him see you; do not speak with him."

And hopefully, hopefully, that would be enough.

This was way more serious than he thought it would be. Messing up was not an option. He'd need to fill out a whole bunch of cards to make sure he did this right. "Yes, sir! Uh, I mean, no? Uh. I'll do it!"

And yes, the reports would be quite necessary, although Xemnas would be willing enough to accept spoken reports, should Demyx prefer them that way. As long as the information was returned to him, that would be enough.
