[Action/Video Post]

The fountain is in view, and standing on the edge is a certain familiar Nobody, his hood down and his sitar out. He is grinning, evidently having seen the network, and gotten an idea of what this curse is. He already has a few clones loose, controlling them by playing on his sitar. He plays for a while, before speaking.

"The curses here aren't usually so bad, and it was sorta cool seeing people that aren't usually in the City the other day. But this curse?" And a clone whizzes past, moving around. "Is awesome!"

[/Post]

[OoC: Action encouraged forever, this is srsly his best curse ever.]

[There is a friar wandering about the City who happens to have a good deal of water weaponry on his person (wouldn't you know that all of his nifty steampunk weapons would be affected by the curse!). The water clones are more than enough to grab his attention.]

What on earth are you doing, Demyx?

Totes fine! Action!

"Huh?" He sees him wandering around. "Carl! Hey! I'm just messing around, there's a lot of water around today because of the curse, I think I'm stronger." He hopped down off of the ledge. "What've you got?"

Thank you. <3 Action

"Stronger? How so?" the friar replied, slogging over to Demyx. Functioning in wet robes is harder than it looks--especially when said robes are full of water-filled weapons. "Oh... this and that."

No problem. <3~!

"I dunno, I think that all this water around is powering me up or something." And he was certainly more active and more- something else. He vaguely wondered if it could be having an effect on his, well, state as a Nobody, but then passed off the notion, not wanting to be wrong. Or even worse, being right, and then going back to normal the next day.

He cocked a head to the side and inspected them more closely. "Do you usually have that stuff?"

"You're implying that you're hydro-powered?" Not that that would surprise Carl. It takes a lot more to surprise him nowadays than it would have several months ago.

Carl pulls what used to be a crossbow from his robes. Today, it seems to be a rapid-fire water-balloon launcher. "Ah. Not this, specifically." He discards the former crossbow and brings what could only be described as obscenely high tech water balloons from his pockets. "Or these My customized pistols underwent something of a transformation, as well..."

The friar produces three impressive-looking waterguns... and a tiny water pistol. He seems very pleased with the water pistol. "This, however, didn't change at all. La sancta agua pistola--er, a holy water pistol, essentially. It... shoots holy water."

Blink. "No, I think that the water's helping." He never did understand some of the words the Superior used during meetings.

He sees the new weaponry, and can't help but grin. "Cool! It must be because of the curse. You have a lot of stuff there." He looks at the tiny little pistol, and then is just very confused. The only distinction that he's ever made with water has been 'my water'. "Holy water?"

"Ah." Carl interpreted that as a yes.

"I suppose so... I only hope that they change back once midnight comes around. Yes, holy water! You're not Roman Catholic, are you? It's--well, it's like all other water, only it's had a few prayers said over it. Traditionally, vampires and other unholy beasties don't take well to it."

"Well, if it's like any other curse, then yeah, probably." That- sounded familiar. Had Chrono mentioned that? "No, I don't think so." He listened to the explanation.

"So, what does it do to them when it touches them?"

"You would know if you were," Carl replied wryly.

"It burns, actually. That's how it works at home, anyway." He frowned. "I'm not entirely sure how holy water works, to be entirely honest. It acts almost like a flesh-eating acid if it touches something demonic, regardless of the demon's religious affiliation. I've never understood why a Roman Catholic blessing would effect, say, a Jewish vampire."

Would he, though? It's true he remembered some stuff, but how much? Cop-out here, because we don't fully know. But I doubt KH has religion in it, so we're going with no. But how is he to know that?

"Water burns?" He blinked. "Mine never did that . . . acid, huh?" He wasn't sure that he liked the idea of 'holy water'. It didn't seem right to him. "I know what a vampire is, what's a jiwisch vampire?"

[OoC: Every Jew's a vampire. That's why we use the blood of Christian boys in our matzah.]

"It's not normal water, and it..." Carl trailed off. Demyx clearly didn't know the first thing about the various religions and really, there's no need to educate him. So long as he knows enough to avoid being eaten by a vampire, that's sufficient. "Never mind. It's irrelevant entirely."

[ooc: I knew it! This card-carrying atheist has trouble roleplaying a friar. v.v;]

"Yeah, I guess not." He doubts that it was irrelevant entirely, otherwise it wouldn't have been brought up in the first place. But he lets it slide, there's somethign very distinctly different about him today. "So've you been getting wet?"

[OoC: Lol, oh you. Also, Jews have horns. Clearly we're of the occult.]

[And lo and behold, there's a Turk. He's largely been sticking to the shadows, and assorted other things-that-can-be-hidden-behind, but he's there all the same.

And possibly boggling a little bit at the water clone that just went past.]

Demyx is continuing to do what he do, when the way a passing clone moves alerts him to the fact that someone is there, watching him.

He raises his arm, and almost immediately, the clones re-assemble themselves into big columns of water bursting seemingly out of the ground, surrounding the shadowed stranger at a 10 foot diameter. "Who's there?" He was slightly on edge, after all, that filtering mishap rendered it so that he had to be on the lookout.

He recognizes the voice, and the columns almost melt down into the ground, to reform the clones. He's never been able to do anything like this so fluidly, but he's been suspecting that this curse might be making him a little more powerful. "Tseng?"

Either way, it's not something Demyx is thinking about. Tseng's never drawn on him before, nor has he ever given him reason to. Of course, this is only from his point of view.

"Yeah, I'm the only one that can do this sorta stuff. Cool, huh?" Because despite the fact that he's been in the City long enough to realize that he might not be the only one, he still thinks of 'everyone' as the Organization. Whenever he portals and people look shocked, he waves it off, it's not special. But the tricks he can do with water? That's another story.

It's unique. A good thing.

He started a little, but then when he didn't recognize who it was, and she didn't appear to be hiding or plotting anything, he relaxed. He had unconsciously allowed his clones to form a sort of barrier between himself and the newcomer, but as he relaxed they dispersed around the area once again.

He responds with the same reaction she had, but directed at her. "Huh? Who're you?"

"I'm Willow," she replied, taken aback. She looked at all the clones, still wondering what exactly they were. "...nice water... people you have there."
From: [identity profile] sitaronthewater.livejournal.com
Willow. Well, that certainly didn't help anything. But she didn't seem to wanna do anything to him. And he was definitely getting some sort of power-up from all this water around. So he remembered what he'd learned about basic socialization. "Demyx."

And then he grinned at that comment. That was something special that only he could do- well, as far as he knew. The only one in the Organization, anyway, and that was what mattered. "You mean my clones? You like 'em, huh?"

"What exactly do they do?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "Or are they just a decoration thing?"

She tilted her head to one side. His clothes looked a little familiar, but nothing she could place yet--she was a little more focused on the clones at the moment, okay.

It's quite distinctive.

Now, usually he was a demonstrative sort of guy, it was hard to explain most stuff. But it's not like he could exactly just start to attack her out of nowhere. Besides, the kid'd probably hear about it and he'd ruin everything, which he definitely didn't want to fall on his shoulders. "Decoration? My water?" He almost pouted at that.

Maybe a little demonstration was needed here, after all. "Well, they're mainly for battle. I can control 'em." He gripped his sitar once more, playing a few chords and notes, and Willow can note how it affects them. A single note may move a watery arm, or have them move closer. The melody he plays has them doing all sorts of maneuvers, short of an attack. Although, he doesn't seem to be using his sitar as much as he usually would . . . not that she'd notice, of course.
From: [identity profile] awillowywitch.livejournal.com
"For battle," Willow said slowly. Well, she'd heard of using the elements for battle before--and hell, she had done so with magic a lot in the past--but making clones out of water? With a sitar? It was a new one. "So you make your water people attack." Weird. Then again, she had seen some very weird fighting styles across the board, so she probably couldn't judge.

Finally, the whole coat issue seemed to click into place. "You know, I've seen someone wearing that coat before."
From: [identity profile] sitaronthewater.livejournal.com
"Yeah, but I can do a bunch of other stuff, too, not just my clones." He really was sort of showing off his water today. He- enjoyed it a little, somehow. He didn't want to think that this curse was allowing him to feel, because he could be wrong. But if he was right, he'd go back to normal the next day. No, this was just the water powering him up.

He blinked at her statement. "Yeah? Who?"
From: [identity profile] awillowywitch.livejournal.com
"Uh-huh? Like tidal wives? Tidal waves are cool! Oh, but... you probably shouldn't demonstrate if you can. I would get really wet," Willow thinks your abilities are kind of cool, Demyx. Feel proud.

"A very grumpy, often scowling, guy called Roxas. Do you know him?"
From: [identity profile] sitaronthewater.livejournal.com
A blink. Huh. "Well, I've never tried. I wonder . . . maybe by the beach." He thought a while on this, before continuing. "Nah, I can control it really well, want me to?" And he does feel proud today! Well, within a given value of proud, of course.

"Roxas? Yeah, of course."
